37. ULICA Festival

ULICA Festival – międzynarodowy festiwal teatrów ulicznych organizowany od 1987 r. w Krakowie przez Teatr KTO. Jest jednym z najstarszych tego typu festiwali w Europie Środkowej. Podczas ULICY prezentowane są monumentalne widowiska, spektakle teatralne, happeningi, klaunady, pokazy marionetkowe, fire show oraz wiele innych wydarzeń.

ULICA Festival to flagowe wydarzenie województwa małopolskiego, rozpoznawalne na całym świecie, które rokrocznie gości ponad 180 artystów z całego świata oraz ściąga dziesiątki tysięcy mieszkańców i turystów.

Przedstawienia odbywają się w lipcu na najważniejszych placach w Krakowie, m.in. na Rynku Głównym, Placu Szczepańskim, Małym Rynku, Placu Jana Nowaka Jeziorańskiego i wielu innych.

Ponadto od kilku lat ULICA Festival rozszerzyła swoją działalność i prezentuje również spektakle w innych małopolskich miastach, takich jak Niepołomice, Wieliczka, Limanowa oraz Tarnów.

Ambicją festiwalu jest prezentowanie najnowszych nurtów w światowej sztuce teatru ulicznego.

Od początku istnienia dyrektorem artystycznym ULICA Festival jest Jerzy Zoń.

ULICA Festival is an international street theatre festival organised since 1987 in Krakow by the KTO Theatre, and is one of the oldest festivals of this type in Central Europe. It offers the opportunity to see monumental shows, theatrical performances, happenings, clownings, marionette shows, fire shows and many other events.

The ULICA Festival is a flagship event of the Małopolska region, recognised around the world, hosting more than 180 artists from all over the world and attracting tens of thousands of residents and tourists every year.

Performances take place in July on the most important squares in Krakow, including the Main Square (Rynek Główny), Szczepański Square (Plac Szczepański), Small Square (Mały Rynek), Jan Nowak Jeziorański Square (Plac Jana Nowaka Jeziorańskiego) and many more.

The ULICA Festival has expanded its activities with performances in other cities of the Małopolska region, such as Niepołomice, Wieliczka, Limanowa and Tarnów.

The festival aspires to present the latest trends in world street theatre art.

From the very beginning, the artistic director of the ULICA Festival has been Jerzy Zon.
