4. edycja Krakowskiego Festiwalu Tańca będzie wyjątkowa – odbywa się w dziesiątą rocznicę działalności Krakowskiego Centrum Choreograficznego! Celebrując urodziny i krążąc wokół festiwalowego hasła „Widok z bliska”, zapraszamy na festiwal – święto bliskości, podczas którego postawimy na wrażliwe i wspólnotowe doświadczenie tańca.

Festiwalowy program pozwoli przyjrzeć się osobistym narracjom artystów oraz intymnej podróży po tanecznej przestrzeni ciał i ukrytych w nich historii. Krakowski Festiwal Tańca 2024 otworzy premiera Rooms by the sea, spektakl Q&A proponuje dostęp do osobistych historii w nim performujących, z kolei When the Bleeding Stops daje możliwość spojrzenia na wyparty społecznie i kulturowo temat menopauzy, przede wszystkim dzięki kobietom biorącym udział w projekcie. Razem z twórcami Insectum In chcemy łamać konwenanse, zapraszać widzów do zauważenia siebie nawzajem, jak również otworzyć przestrzeń do doświadczania wspólnoty, jaką tworzymy podczas oglądania spektaklu. „Widok z bliska” jest też inspiracją do tworzenia czasoprzestrzeni na zacieśniające spotkanie środowiska i widowni tańca także w nieoficjalnej przestrzeni urodzinowego pikniku oraz wspólnego tworzenia kolaży.

The 4th Krakow Dance Festival will be special – it falls on the tenth anniversary of the Krakow Choreographic Centre! In the spirit of birthday celebrations and the festival slogan “Close View”, the festival is a tribute to closeness and a unique opportunity to focus on the sensitive and shared experience of dance.

The festival programme offers a glimpse into the personal narratives of the artists and an intimate journey through the dance space of bodies and the stories they hide. The 2024 Krakow Dance Festival will open with the premiere of Rooms by the Sea, a Q&A performance offering access to the personal stories of its performers, while When the Bleeding Stops offers a look at the socially and culturally repressed topic of menopause, primarily thanks to the women participating in the project. Together with the creators of Insectum In, we want to break conventions, help audience members notice each other, and open a space to experience the community we form when watching the performance. “Close View” is also an inspiration to create a space-time to bring together the dance community and the audience, also in the unofficial space of the birthday picnic and the joint creation of collages.
