Early Music Day 2025

Dzień Muzyki Dawnej to naturalny prolog Festiwalu Misteria Paschalia, który w tym roku odbędzie się w dniach 13–20 kwietnia. 21 marca o godz. 20.30 w kościele opactwa oo. Benedyktynów w Tyńcu odbędzie się koncert zatytułowany Agnus Dei, Christus immolatus est.

W wykonaniu zespołu żeńskiego Flores Rosarum pod dyrekcją Susi Ferfoglii odbiorcy będą mieli okazję usłyszeć wybrane śpiewy z tej długiej i złożonej liturgii wykorzystującej niezwykle dramatyczne teksty, które od stuleci wprowadzają wiernych w głębokie przeżywanie misterium śmierci Chrystusa. Program koncertu oddaje autentyczny charakter nabożeństw odprawianych w katedrze wawelskiej, podczas których można było usłyszeć również śpiew chłopców uczęszczających do szkoły katedralnej. Dlatego zabrzmią też fragmenty oznaczone w rękopisach zapisem pueri – czyli „chłopcy”. Partie wokalne będą przeplatane improwizacjami organowymi Krzysztofa Pawlisza, które na wzmocnią i wzbogacą przeżywanie wykonywanych utworów.

The Early Music Day serves as a natural prelude to the Misteria Paschalia Festival, which this year will take place from April 13 to 20. On March 21 at 8:30 PM, a concert titled Agnus Dei, Christus immolatus est will be held at the Benedictine Abbey Church in Tyniec.

Performed by the female ensemble Flores Rosarum under the direction of Susi Ferfoglia, the audience will have the opportunity to hear selected chants from this long and complex liturgy, which incorporates highly dramatic texts that have, for centuries, guided the faithful into a profound experience of the mystery of Christ's death. The concert program reflects the authentic character of services once held in Wawel Cathedral, where the voices of boys attending the cathedral school could also be heard. Therefore, the program will include fragments marked in manuscripts with the notation pueri—meaning "boys." The vocal parts will be interwoven with organ improvisations by Krzysztof Pawlisz, enhancing and enriching the experience of the performed pieces.
