Nawet na debiutanckim albumie zdradzali progresywne tendencje. Z czasem było ich tylko więcej. Opeth stali się królami prog metalu i są nimi właściwie po dziś dzień. Ich organiczny, z góry rozpoznawalny styl to efekt nie tylko wielkich umiejętności, ale także konsekwentnego cyzelowania formy, nawet mimo licznych zmian.

PAATOS (Szwecja) progressive rock

Dla nich progresywny rock to sposób na rozwój, a nie tylko wygodny tag. I pewnie, progrockowe mechanizmy są wiodącymi w muzyce Paatos, ale nie jedynymi. Do nich dochodzi wszystko od art popu przez alt-rocka, post-rocka czy nawet jazz.

Albums such as "Blackwater Park", "Deliverance" and "Ghost Reveries" are milestones of progressive metal which were loved and adored at the time of their release as well as now. Opeth, however, do not live in the past, continuing to evolve and record great material. The Swedes will give us a great evening, supported by their countrymen from the equally progressive Paatos.

OPETH (Sweden) progressive metal

Even on their debut album they betrayed progressive tendencies. There were only more of these as time went on. Opeth became the kings of prog metal and are actually still kings to this day. Their organic, preternaturally recognisable style is the result not only of great skill, but also of a consistent chiselling of form, even despite numerous changes.

PAATOS (Sweden) progressive rock

For them, progressive rock is a way forward, not just a convenient tag. And sure, prog-rock mechanisms are the leading themes in Paatos' music, but not the only ones. They include everything from art pop to alt-rock, post-rock or even jazz.
