18. Międzynarodowy Festiwal Teatralny Boska Komedia/ 18th International Theatre Festival Divine Comedy

Dwanaście dni wypełnionych różnorodnym programem artystycznym zamieni miasto w tętniący teatralnym życiem tygiel estetyk i idei.

Ponad trzydzieści spektakli, które zostaną zaprezentowane na festiwalu, zostało podzielonych na trzy sekcje odwołujące się do dantejskiej topografii zaświatów. Festiwalowe INFERNO, to nurt konkursowy, w którym znalazły się wybrane przez selekcjonerów najciekawsze polskie spektakle minionego sezonu. Spośród dziewięciu spektakli prezentowanych w ramach tego nurtu międzynarodowe jury reprezentujące instytucje i festiwale z Tajwanu, Niemiec, USA, Meksyku i Estonii wybierze laureata głównej nagrody festiwalu i statuetki Boskiego Komedianta, która zostanie przyznana podczas gali 12 grudnia.

Jak co roku, Boska Komedia gościć będzie nie tylko spektakle, ale też debaty wokół najważniejszych problemów środowiska teatralnego oraz wydarzenia towarzyszące – wśród nich elektryzujące Postpornoterrorismo. Publiczność przekona się, czy pozbawiona wstydu seksualność może być źródłem zmiany norm i politycznych narracji – początkiem wspólnoty rozbijającej hierarchie i wytyczającej nowe kierunki w kulturze. Pospornoterrorismo to seria przygotowanych specjalnie na to wydarzenie działań performatywnych z obszaru postporno, które towarzyszyć będzie pokazowi Heks Teatru Polskiego w Podziemiu według powieści Agnieszki Szpili.

Twelve days filled with a diverse artistic programme will transform the city into a vibrant theatrical melting pot of aesthetics and ideas.

More than thirty performances to be presented at the festival have been divided into three sections referring to the Dantean topography of the hereafter. The festival's INFERNO is a competition strand featuring the most interesting Polish performances of the past season chosen by the selectors. From among the nine performances presented as part of this programme, an international jury representing institutions and festivals from Taiwan, Germany, the USA, Mexico and Estonia will select the winner of the festival's main prize and the Divine Comedian statuette, which will be awarded during the gala on 12 December.

As every year, Divine Comedy will host not only performances, but also debates around the most important issues in the theatre community and accompanying events - among them the electrifying ‘Postpornoterrorismo’. Audiences will see if shame-free sexuality can be a source of shifting norms and political narratives - the beginning of a community breaking down hierarchies and charting new directions in culture. ‘Pospornoterrorismo’ is a series of performative activities from the field of postporno, prepared especially for this event, which will accompany a screening of Polish Theatre Underground's ‘Heks’ based on Agnieszka Szpila's novel.
