Alphaville to legendarny niemiecki zespół synth-popowy, założony w 1982 roku w Münster przez Mariana Golda, Bernharda Lloyda i Franka Mertensa. Melancholijne melodie i syntezatorowe aranżacje, czyli esencja lat 80. Przełomem okazał się debiutancki album Forever Young (1984), który skradł serca milionów. Pochodzące z niego „Big in Japan” oraz utwór tytułowy to największe hity grupy, a także całych lat 80. Płyta pokryła się 3-krotną platyną w Niemczech oraz złotem między innymi we Francji i Norwegii. Łącznie grupa wydała siedem albumów, ostatni – „Strange Attractor” ukazał się w kwietniu 2017 roku.

Alphaville is a legendary German synth-pop band, formed in 1982 in Münster by Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd and Frank Mertens. Melancholic melodies and synth arrangements, the essence of the 1980s. The breakthrough came with the debut album 'Forever Young' (1984), which stole the hearts of millions. Also from the album, 'Big in Japan' and the title track are the group's biggest hits, as well as those of the entire 1980s. The album went triple platinum in Germany and gold in France and Norway, among other countries. In total, the group has released seven albums, the latest, Strange Attractor, was released in April 2017.
