Gdzie mieszka miłość to nowa odsłona przedstawienia o charakterze koncertowym, stworzonego w ramach obchodów jubileuszu siedemdziesięciolecia prezentacji operetek i musicali na scenie Opery Krakowskiej.

W każdym z tych muzyczno-teatralnych arcydzieł występują romantyczne relacje i perypetie bohaterów, zabawne intrygi o zabarwieniu erotycznym oraz niezmiennie szczęśliwe zakończenia są głównym tworzywem scenicznych opowieści. Kulminacyjne momenty fabuły to często słowno-muzyczne perły, które zajmują trwałe miejsce w katalogach muzyki koncertowej.

W naszym spektaklu, który opowiada o wątkach miłosnych w operetkach i musicalach, zabrzmią zatem takie przeboje jak walczyk z „Hrabiny Maricy” I. Kalmana - Lekko, zwiewnie i najprościej, Aria Adeli z „Zemsty nietoperza” J. Straussa – Taki pan jak pan, evergreen z musicalu „My Fair Lady” - „Przetańczyć całą noc”, duet z „Wesołej wdowki” F. Lehara - „Usta Milcza, dusza śpiewa”, duet z „Księżniczki czardasza” I. Kalmana Co się dzieje, oszaleję, niebo w sercu mam” i wiele innych.

“Where Love Lives” is a new version of a concert-style performance created as part of the celebrations marking the seventieth anniversary of operetta and musical productions presented on the stage of the Kraków Opera.

Each of these musical-theatrical masterpieces features romantic relationships and the adventures of their protagonists, humorous intrigues with an erotic undertone, and invariably happy endings, which together form the core of the stage narratives. The climactic moments of the plots are often verbal and musical gems that have secured a lasting place in the concert music repertoire.

In our performance, devoted to love stories in operettas and musicals, audiences will hear such hits as the waltz from Countess Maritza by Emmerich Kálmán – “Lightly, Airily and Simply”, Adele’s aria from Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss – “Such a Gentleman as You”, the evergreen from the musical My Fair Lady – “I Could Have Danced All Night”, the duet from The Merry Widow by Franz Lehár – “Lips Are Silent, the Soul Sings”, the duet from The Csárdás Princess by Emmerich Kálmán – “What Is Happening to Me, I’m Going Mad, My Heart Is in Heaven”, and many others.
