Wystawa "Kraków. Dźwięki, melodie, słowa"/ Exhibition “Kraków: Sounds, Melodies, Words”

Muzeum Krakowa zaprasza na niecodzienną wystawę o dźwiękach miasta.

W centrum uwagi znalazły się odgłosy miejskiego życia, które kształtują tożsamość Krakowa i codzienne doświadczenie mieszkańców.

Opowieść składa się z czterech segmentów tematycznych, z których każdy odsłania inny aspekt miejskiej audiosfery. Pierwszy mówi o dźwiękach ulic i placów, drugi o głosie dzwonów, trzeci o muzyce granej na podwórkach i słuchanej w domach, czwarty o wędrującej nad miastem melodii hejnału.

Eksponatom i nagraniom towarzyszy ścieżka edukacyjna, która w interaktywny i dostępny sposób przybliża poruszane zagadnienia. W ramach programu towarzyszącego planowane są zajęcia edukacyjne, spacery dźwiękowe, wykłady. Ukaże się również folder, który w przystępnej formie pogłębia wątki obecne na wystawie.

Wernisaż wystawy "Kraków. Dźwięki, melodie, słowa" odbędzie się w dniu 19 lutego 2026 o godzinie 17:00.

The Museum of Kraków invites you to an extraordinary exhibition about the sounds of the city.

The focus is on the sounds of urban life that shape Kraków’s identity and the everyday experiences of its residents.

The story is composed of four thematic segments, each revealing a different aspect of the city’s soundscape. The first explores the sounds of streets and squares, the second the voice of bells, the third the music played in courtyards and listened to in homes, and the fourth the melody of the hejnał traveling above the city.

The exhibits and recordings are accompanied by an educational path that presents the topics in an interactive and accessible way. As part of the accompanying program, educational workshops, sound walks, and lectures are planned. A brochure will also be published, which will deepen the themes presented in the exhibition in an accessible form.

The opening of the exhibition “Kraków. Sounds, melodies, words” will take place on 19 February 2026 at 5:00 PM.
