Big Band Małopolski – jubileusz 20-lecia istnienia zespołu/ 20th Anniversary of the Ensemble

Big Band Małopolski to jeden z najlepszych big bandów w Polsce! Wielokrotnie nagradzany na ogólnopolskich festiwalach i konkursach bigbandowych. Zespół prowadzi prof. dr hab. Ryszard Krawczuk, wykładowca Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie, lider zespołu Funk De Nite. Dyrektorem i współzałożycielem Big Band Małopolski jest Krzysztof Odrobina. Orkiestra składa się z 17 czołowych muzyków jazzowych młodego pokolenia, laureatów wielu renomowanych konkursów i festiwali. Większość z nich to absolwenci uczelni muzycznych w Krakowie i Katowicach.

W 2013 roku ukazała się debiutancka płyta orkiestry: „Live At Młyn Jazz Festival”, z gościnnym udziałem M. Urbaniaka, B. Maselego i rapera MC Stewlocs’a.

Big Band Małopolski is one of the best big bands in Poland! It has been awarded many times at national festivals and big band competitions. The ensemble is led by Prof. Ryszard Krawczuk, PhD habil., lecturer at the Academy of Music in Kraków and leader of the band Funk De Nite. The director and co‑founder of the Małopolska Big Band is Krzysztof Odrobina.
The orchestra consists of 17 top young jazz musicians, laureates of numerous renowned competitions and festivals. Most of them are graduates of music academies in Kraków and Katowice.

In 2013, the orchestra released its debut album, Live At Młyn Jazz Festival, featuring guest performances by M. Urbaniak, B. Masele, and rapper MC Stewlocs.
