Międzynarodowe Biennale Sztuki AI

Kim stajemy się w świecie, w którym inteligencja przestaje być wyłącznie ludzka? Odpowiedzi na to pytanie będziemy szukać podczas Międzynarodowego Biennale Sztuki AI, które odbędzie się 6-20 marca w Krakowie. W programie: wystawy, konferencja, warsztaty, działania performatywne i dyskusje, które łączą sztukę, naukę i technologię. Organizatorem jest Wydział Interdyscyplinarny w Krakowie Uniwersytetu SWPS.

Temat przewodni pierwszej edycji Biennale to „Twórczy  dialog i edukacja z AI”. Wydarzenie koncentruje się na zjawiskach związanych ze sztuczną inteligencją w kulturze i sztuce, a także na jej roli w nauce, edukacji i technologii. Celem jest przyjrzenie się relacjom człowieka i AI – ich wspólnej kreatywności, potencjałowi edukacyjnemu i etycznym wyzwaniom.

Te tematy będą obecne na wystawie „[Nie]świadome Algorytmy”, której poszczególne sekcje można będzie oglądać w Pałacu Potockich i Bunkrze Sztuki. Ekspozycja nie proponuje ani technologicznego entuzjazmu, ani nostalgicznego sprzeciwu wobec maszyn. Zamiast tego poszukuje „trzeciej przestrzeni” – miejsca, w którym algorytm staje się medium, partnerem, a czasem nieprzewidywalnym współautorem, zmuszającym do redefinicji takich pojęć, jak autorstwo, intencja czy odpowiedzialność.

Ważnym punktem Międzynarodowego Biennale Sztuki AI będzie konferencja w Małopolskim Centrum Nauki Cogiteon. To zaproszenie do wspólnej refleksji nad tym, jak AI przekształca naukę, sztukę i edukację, a także jak wpływa na nasze codzienne praktyki, modele wiedzy i relacje społeczne. Uczestnikom konferencji oraz wystawie towarzyszyć będzie Biennale Bot – interaktywny przewodnik oparty na sztucznej inteligencji, który będzie prowadził rozmowy z prelegentami i publicznością oraz oprowadzał po ekspozycji.

Who do we become in a world where intelligence is no longer exclusively human? We will explore this question at the International AI Art Biennale, taking place in Kraków from 6–20 March. The program includes exhibitions, a conference, workshops, performative actions, and discussions that merge art, science, and technology. The event is organized by the Interdisciplinary Faculty in Kraków of SWPS University.

The theme of the first edition of the Biennale is “Creative Dialogue and Education with AI.” The event focuses on phenomena related to artificial intelligence in culture and art, as well as its role in science, education, and technology. Its goal is to examine human–AI relationships, exploring shared creativity, educational potential, and ethical challenges.

These topics will be presented in the exhibition “[Un]conscious Algorithms”, with sections on display at the Potocki Palace and Bunkier Sztuki. The exhibition neither indulges in technological enthusiasm nor nostalgically resists machines. Instead, it seeks a “third space” — a place where the algorithm becomes a medium, a partner, and sometimes an unpredictable co-author, prompting us to rethink concepts such as authorship, intention, and responsibility.

A key highlight of the International AI Art Biennale will be the conference at the Małopolska Science Center Cogiteon. This is an invitation to reflect together on how AI is transforming science, art, and education, as well as its impact on daily practices, knowledge models, and social relationships. Participants in the conference and exhibition will be accompanied by the Biennale Bot — an interactive AI-powered guide that will engage in conversations with speakers and the audience and lead tours of the exhibition.
