30. Dni Bachowskie/ 30th Bach Days

Na tym festiwalu królują klawesyny, viole, lutnie, klawikordy, barokowe skrzypce, oboje i gitary oraz muzyka Johanna Sebastiana Bacha, która wypełnia koncerty wykładowców i studentów krakowskiej Akademii Muzycznej.

Na inaugurację jubileuszowych 30. Dni Bachowskich usłyszymy kantatę Tönet, ihr Pauken, w kolejnych dniach zabrzmią także bachowskie sonaty i koncerty na skrzypce. Typowe dla baroku zespoły złożone z instrumentów z jednej rodziny reprezentować będą Krakowski Konsort Viol i Krakowski Konsort Fletów Prostych – ten ostatni przypomni utwory Johna Dowlanda w 400-lecie urodzin angielskiego kompozytora schyłku renesansu.

Na finał, przypadający dokładnie w 341. rocznicę urodzin patrona festiwalu, wystąpi inicjatorka Dni Bachowskich, znakomita polska klawesynistka prof. Elżbieta Stefańska.

At this festival, harpsichords, viols, lutes, clavichords, Baroque violins, oboes and guitars reign supreme, along with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, which fills the concerts performed by faculty members and students of the Academy of Music in Kraków.

The opening of the jubilee 30th Bach Days will feature the cantata Tönet, ihr Pauken. In the following days, audiences will also hear Bach’s sonatas and violin concertos. Baroque ensembles composed of instruments from a single family will be represented by the Kraków Viol Consort and the Kraków Recorder Consort—the latter will commemorate the works of John Dowland on the 400th anniversary of the birth of the English late-Renaissance composer.

The finale, taking place exactly on the 341st anniversary of the birth of the festival’s patron, will feature the initiator of the Bach Days, the outstanding Polish harpsichordist Prof. Elżbieta Stefańska.
