„Igraszki miłosne Carmen” to balet, bazujący na tańcu współczesnym z elementami tańca klasycznego. Spektakl podzielony jest na dwie części. Motywem przewodnim pierwszej jest muzyka Manuela de Falli El Amor Brujo. Widzowie poznają historię dzieciństwa Carmen, wzbogaconą opowieścią o burzliwych relacjach z matką i śmierci ojca. Część ta kończy się ślubem Carmen z Don Jose, który zostaje powołany do wojska.

Druga część „Carmen Suita”, skomponowana na kanwie popularnej opery "Carmen" G. Bizeta przez Rodiona Shchedrina, rozpoczyna się od wędrówki wojska i podróży. Dorosła Carmen zakochuje się w Escamillo, pomimo wcześniejszej relacji z Don Jose. W obliczu zdrady i ogromnej zazdrości Don Jose zabija Carmen, a także dezerteruje z wojska. Rozpoczyna się pogoń za dezerterem, którego na samym końcu udaje się schwytać i wymierzyć mu karę. W tle widzowie mogą obserwować niespełnioną miłość Micaelli do Don Jose, która stanowi uzupełnienie całej historii. Spektakl kończy się paralelą, w której symboliczną rolę odgrywa odchodzące wojsko: ukazuje zarówno koniec życia, jak i zamknięcie pewnego etapu.

'Carmen's Love Games' is a ballet based on contemporary dance with elements of classical dance. The performance is divided into two parts. The theme of the first is the music of Manuel de Falla's El Amor Brujo. Viewers learn the story of Carmen's childhood, enriched by the tale of her turbulent relationship with her mother and the death of her father. The part ends with Carmen's marriage to Don Jose, who is drafted into the army.

The second movement of the 'Carmen Suite', composed on the basis of the popular opera Bizet’s 'Carmen' by Rodion Shchedrin, begins with an army wandering and travelling. The adult Carmen falls in love with Escamillo, despite her previous relationship with Don Jose. Faced with betrayal and immense jealousy, Don Jose kills Carmen and also deserts from the army. The chase begins for the deserter, who at the very end is captured and punished. In the background, viewers can observe Micaella's unrequited love for Don Jose, which completes the whole story. The opera ends with a parallel in which the departing army plays a symbolic role; it shows both the end of a life and the closure of a stage.
