Punktem wyjścia pracy nad spektaklem jest sytuacja społeczności Queer w Republice Białorusi, gdzie przygotowywana ustawa zakazuje reprezentacji jakiejkolwiek symboliki odnoszącej się do LGBT+: od ubioru i sposobu zachowania, po dzieła sztuki. Za publikację w mediach społecznościowych lub komentarz dotyczący tematyki Queer grozić będzie grzywna, prace społeczne, a nawet kara więzienia.

Zrozumienie przyczyn nienawistnego stosunku dyktatorów w rodzaju Łukaszenki czy Putina oraz ich propagandystów do społeczności Queer jest kluczowe do zrozumienia ideologii „russkiego miru”, będącej podstawą agresywnej polityki Federacji Rosyjskiej.

The starting point for the development of the performance is the situation of the Queer community in the Republic of Belarus, where a draft law is being prepared that would ban the representation of any symbolism related to LGBT+: from clothing and behaviour to works of art. Publishing on social media or even commenting on Queer-related topics could result in a fine, community service, or even imprisonment.

Understanding the reasons behind the hateful attitudes of dictators such as Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, as well as their propagandists, towards the Queer community is crucial to understanding the ideology of the “Russkiy Mir” (“Russian world”), which forms the foundation of the Russian Federation’s aggressive foreign policy.
