Ten wielki festiwal muzyki przypada na letnie przesilenie i jest związane z najkrótszą nocą w roku. Odbywa się na początku lata w formule nawiązującej do Fête de la Musique (z fr. „Święto Muzyki”) – imprezy, podczas której w wielu zakątkach miasta rozbrzmiewa różnorodna muzyka. Kraków pokazuje, że muzyka nie zna granic, bez względu na płeć, rasę, pochodzenie czy światopogląd. Noc Kupały to według słowiańskiej tradycji najważniejszy moment roku — moment pełnego rozkwitu natury i człowieka.

Wianki Święto Muzyki to moc atrakcji nawiązujących do słowiańskich tradycji. Jak co roku uczestnicy będą wspólnie pleść wianki. Nie zabraknie również warsztatów i konkursu na najpiękniejszy wianek. Dodatkowo wiele krakowskich instytucji przygotowało szereg aktywności. Lecz główną bohaterką programu będzie Wisła.

Letnie przesilenie, znane jako noc Kupały, to w słowiańskiej tradycji kluczowy moment roku, kiedy cała natura – i człowiek będący jej częścią – rozkwita w pełni. Pradawne obrzędy i zwyczaje miały zapewnić uczestnikom oczyszczenie, płodność i szczęście. Ważną rolę w tym święcie odgrywają zioła i kwiaty, a także woda. Kontynuując stare tradycje, spotkamy się nad największą z polskich rzek, by razem przeżyć najkrótszą noc w roku i świętować początek lata.

This major music festival falls on the summer solstice and is linked to the shortest night of the year. It takes place at the beginning of the summer in a formula reminiscent of the Fête de la Musique (French for 'Festival of Music'), an event during which a variety of music resounds in many corners of the city. Krakow shows that music knows no boundaries, regardless of gender, race, background or worldview. According to Slavic tradition, Kupala Night is the most important time of the year - the moment when nature and man are in full bloom.

Wianki (Wreaths) Music Festival offers a multitude of attractions inspired by Slavic traditions. As every year, participants will weave wreaths together. There will also be workshops and a competition for the most beautiful wreath. In addition, many Krakow institutions have prepared a range of activities. But the main character of the programme will be the Vistula.

The summer solstice, known as the night of Kupala, is a key moment of the year in Slavic tradition, when all of nature - and the human being who is part of it - blossoms fully. The ancient rites and customs were supposed to ensure purification, fertility and good luck for the participants. Herbs and flowers, as well as water, play an important role in this festival. Continuing old traditions, we will meet on the largest of Polish rivers to experience together the shortest night of the year and celebrate the beginning of summer.
