27. Letni Festiwal Opery Krakowskiej/ 27th Krakow Opera Summer Festival

Operowe lato rozpoczęło się już w maju – premierą operetki Wiedeńska krew Johanna Straussa syna. W czerwcu festiwal zagości w królewskiej lokalizacji: wawelski dziedziniec arkadowy wezmą we władanie Aida (uwaga, w roli tytułowej Aleksandra Kurzak!), Tosca, Bona Sforza oraz Nabucco (pokazywany po raz pierwszy poza sceną na ul. Lubicz 48).

Wśród zieleni Ogrodu Botanicznego zabrzmi New York Music Show, a w nim przeboje musicalowe i amerykańskiej muzyki rozrywkowej z lat 50. i 60. XX wieku. Miłośnicy tańca wybiorą się na Igraszki miłosne Carmen oraz Romea i Julię (ten drugi spektakl w gościnnym wykonaniu Zespołu Baletowego Opery z Płowdiwu). Najmłodsi spotkają się z Duszkiem w Operze oraz Profesorem Wiolinkiem i Smokiem Bemolusem. W lipcu damy się wciągnąć małomiasteczkowym intrygom w Sroce złodziejce, a w sierpniowym finale festiwalu bawić nas będą balowe maski i przebieranki w Zemście nietoperza.

The opera season began back in May with the premiere of Johann Strauss II’s operetta Viennese Blood. In June, the festival will return to its royal location: the Wawel arcade courtyard will be taken over by Aida (note: Aleksandra Kurzak in the title role!), Tosca, Bona Sforza and Nabucco (shown for the first time off-stage in ul. Lubicz 48). Amidst the greenery of the Botanical Garden, the New York Music Show will resound, featuring hit musicals and American pop music from the 1950s and 1960s. Dance lovers will get to see Carmen's Love Affairs and Romeo and Juliet (the latter performed by the guest Ballet Ensemble of the Plovdiv Opera House). The youngest children will meet the Ghost at the Opera, as well as Professor Wiolink and the Dragon Bemolus. In July, we'll get caught up in small-town intrigue in The Thieving Magpie, and in the festival's August finale, we'll be entertained by ball masks and fancy dress in The Revenge of the Bat (Die Fledermaus).
