39. ULICA FESTIVAL/ 39th ULICA FESTIVAL

39. edycja Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Teatrów Ulicznych ULICA odbędzie się w dniach 3–5 lipca oraz 10–12 lipca 2026 roku. Tegorocznej odsłonie przyświecać będzie hasło „La Strada”, nawiązujące do estetyki i tradycji cyrkowej oraz jej obecności we współczesnym teatrze ulicznym.

Od blisko czterech dekad Teatr KTO zaprasza artystów z całego świata, by Kraków oraz inne miasta zamieniały się w otwartą, tętniącą życiem scenę teatralną. ULICA Festival, organizowana przez Teatr KTO i jego dyrektora Jerzy Zoń, należy do najważniejszych i najbardziej rozpoznawalnych wydarzeń teatru ulicznego w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej.

Każdego roku festiwal gromadzi niemal dwustu artystów reprezentujących różnorodne tradycje i języki sztuki, a także przyciąga dziesiątki tysięcy widzów – zarówno mieszkańców, jak i turystów. Spektakle prezentowane są przede wszystkim w przestrzeni publicznej Krakowa, ale festiwal regularnie przekracza jego granice, docierając do innych miejscowości i włączając w swoje działania nowe społeczności.

The 39^th edition of the ULICA International Street Theatre Festival will take place from 3 to 5 July and from 10 to 12 July 2026. This year’s edition will be themed around ‘La Strada’, a reference to the aesthetics and traditions of the circus and its presence in contemporary street theatre.

For nearly four decades, the KTO Theatre has been inviting artists from all over the world to transform Krakow and other cities into an open, vibrant theatre scene. The ULICA Festival, organised by the KTO Theatre and its director Jerzy Zoń, is one of the most important and best-known street theatre events in Central and Eastern Europe.

Every year, the festival brings together nearly two hundred artists representing a variety of artistic traditions and forms, and attracts tens of thousands of visitors – both locals and tourists. The performances are staged primarily in public spaces across Krakow, but the festival regularly extends beyond the city’s boundaries, reaching other towns and involving new communities in its activities.
