Opera Rara

Opera Rara Krakow – the autumn edition, marking World Opera Day, serves as a reminder that opera has never been a straightforward genre. From the very beginning, it has combined poetry, acting and imagery, and its story has unfolded not only on the stages of major theatres, but also in salons, churches and spaces that have allowed it to be discovered from a different perspective. The programme for the autumn edition of the festival draws on this very diversity, ranging from intimate evenings of song to grand Baroque and Romantic works, demonstrating that the history of opera is, above all, a history of the ceaseless search for new forms of expression.
