Open Eyes Art Festival (OEAF) to festiwal sztuki współczesnej, który wyrósł z idei Open Eyes Economy, ruchu promującego odpowiedzialne myślenie o gospodarce, społeczeństwie i przyszłości.

Po raz pierwszy projekt powstaje we współpracy aż trzech krakowskich uczelni artystycznych: Akademii Sztuk Pięknych, Akademii Sztuk Teatralnych i Akademii Muzycznej.

The Open Eyes Art Festival (OEAF) is a contemporary art festival that grew out of the Open Eyes Economy initiative, a movement promoting responsible thinking about the economy, society and the future. Every autumn, Krakow becomes a meeting place for artists, students, academics and the general public. Through exhibitions, concerts, performances, theatre productions and projects bringing together various art forms, the programme addresses the most pressing challenges of the modern world, ranging from democracy and community spirit, through social responsibility, to the role of culture in building an informed society.

The sixth edition of the festival will be held under the theme ‘Swarms and Packs’, which draws attention to the relationship between the individual and the community, as well as to the mechanisms shaping contemporary social, economic and cultural relations. For the first time, the project is being developed in collaboration with no fewer than three art colleges in Krakow: the Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy of Theatre Arts and the Academy of Music. The programme includes exhibitions, interdisciplinary projects and musical events, including those that have become an integral part of its identity. These include, amongst others, Open Art, an exhibition showcasing inter-departmental and inter-university student projects, and Space for Art, a series of exhibitions dedicated to outstanding artists, as well as a festival concert.
