Wystawa czynna będzie do 8 sierpnia 2027 r.
The exhibition will tell the story of how the former administrative building of the Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF) – run by Oskar Schindler during the German occupation – came to house one of Krakow’s most popular museums. The story of how 1100 Jewish DEF workers were saved thanks to Schindler’s help is now known throughout the world; it was brought to the public’s attention by Steven Spielberg’s film 'Schindler’s List', an adaptation of Thomas Keneally’s novel 'Schindler’s Ark'. Of course, the story set during the Second World War is at the heart of the narrative presented in the exhibition. Through photographs, documents, original artefacts and, above all, eyewitness accounts, visitors will learn what working life was like in the factory and how the famous ‘list’ came about. The exhibition will run until 8 August 2027.
